ONDA has a history of releasing budget-friendly motherboards for both AMD AM5 and Intel LGA 1700 sockets, typically priced under $100 US, making them ideal for budget PC builds. The latest addition is the ONDA B650PLUS-ITX-W Mini-ITX motherboard, which brings an appealing design and robust features.
The ONDA B650PLUS-ITX-W motherboard is equipped with the AM5 socket and is powered by a single 8-pin connector. It boasts a 9-phase digital power delivery system, capable of supporting a range of AMD Ryzen 7000/8000 CPUs. The board is also anticipated to be compatible with the upcoming Ryzen 9000 “Zen 5” CPUs, pending a BIOS update. It supports overclocking and can handle up to 6000 MT/s DDR5 EXPO memory through its dual DDR5 DIMM slots, which support up to 96 GB of memory.
In terms of expansion, the ONDA B650PLUS-ITX-W offers a single PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, two Gen4 x4 M.2 slots (one with a dedicated SSD heatsink), and three SATA III ports. The motherboard features a sleek all-white PCB with black markings and two silver heatsinks, one for the M.2 slot and one over the I/O area, serving as a VRM plate. It follows the standard Mini-ITX form factor with a 170x170mm layout.
The I/O options on the ONDA B650PLUS-ITX-W AM5 motherboard include 2.5 GbE LAN, WIFI6 with Bluetooth v5.2, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs, USB 3.2 Type-C, along with five USB 3.2 Gen1 ports and two USB 2.0 ports. The motherboard is priced at 619 RMB, approximately $85 US, making it a fantastic option for budget-conscious PC builders. However, it will be available exclusively in Asian markets.
