quite a boost for 3Dmark 2001SE, E power so to speak :)

Yeah like a 3000 point increase. :D

I took a hit on 2003 due to the fact I didn't put my Audigy 2 back in....big hit. :( No 60 sounds with the onboard sound....Maybe I will put it in later and run it again.

Well I am only getting 500/520 out of this one, looks like this system is pushing the X800 Pro alot harder than my old system was. Big difference in 533 fsb to 800 fsb and going from AGP 4x to AGP 8x. But it is a different card too on top of that, remember my 1st one blew up.

3DMark 2001se @ 500/520

3DMark 2003 @ 500/520

3DMark 2005 @ 500/520

For future reference, adding a soundcard to your computer will not change your 2003 score. The score is calculated by the first three game tests only. BTW- your 2001 score isn't too far off from my current system's (see sig). I get about 22000 with my current settings. I haven't bothered to see what 2003 and 2005 benched. They're just not fun.

Yeah I had already ran them again before you posted. :D

They went up alittle, not enough to worry about though.

wrathchild_67,

What is interesting is the difference in my 2001 scores between my old Northood @ 3075mhz and the new Prescott @ 3061Mhz.

At default speed 475/450 the difference is 3219 points..:eek:

16893 for the Northwood and 20112 for the Prescott.

I guess going from 533 fsb to 800Mhz fsb and AGP 4x to AGP 8x makes a huge difference.....and maybe from 1066 RDRAM to DDR 400 helped some too. :D

Update. :D

Playing UT 2004 with everything set to max. :D

Playing smooth as glass, and the graphics are awesome. :)

Score = 73.32 FPS @ 1280x1024 @ MAx settings, default clocks :D

Score = 201.91 FPS @ Flyby Bench ;)

When you get really fed up with ATI drivers, game of UT2004 will put a smile back on your face :)

Try some online ONS missions if you can. Its amazing that even with the most demanding 32 players matches, X800 card is still capable to use full detail, FSAA 2x and AF 4x without impacting the gameplay.

BTW X800XL, which oviously isnt much faster then X800PRO, rivals 6800Ultra in UT2004 at higher resolution with FSAA and AF enabled :cool:

Yup, 1600x1200 to the max is a pretty sweet place to be! As an aside, it's interesting to see that the X800XL (and likely Pro) pumps out over twice as many frames as the 6600GT at these settings. OK, I know it's not a fair comparison, and the 6600GT is still an incredible card, but it goes against the law of dimishing returns when an extra 50% in cost gives you over 100% in speed. Swith to Doom 3 of course and it's back to 50%, but that's still impressive to be proportional to price.

jankerson, how did you benchmark UT2004, I'm interested to see how scores compare, relative to 3DMark.
