Wipe a used SSD before OS install?

Being a perfectionist, or an obsessive, I've always wiped a used hdd with Dban before installing a new OS on it. Is there anything equivalent to be done to a used ssd,, or do you just proceed with an install and let it format? What about partitioning, especially if using linux, which will want to make partitions for boot, swap, and home? Just proceed with install and assume it will write over any existing partitions?

For solid state drives,

As for partitioning, since I prefer to set aside room for over-provisioning, I manually set partition sizes for Linux.
