Will X-rays damage my tablet?

I have a Lenovo tablet PC that I'm taking on an airplane. Unlike a laptop that folds, there is no case and the screen is unprotected. Will the X-rays at the security conveyer belt damage it?

turn it off, it should be fine. Also some device can be left out of the scan machine if you are concern. SSD Storage is not sensible like HD. But who know ( google maybe ) something could happen.

Also just because you have a phone or tablet with SSD and very stable and reliable hardware does not means you can ignore basic rule of electronic information storage, meaning, always have a back up of your data.

Uhm. Nope. If it was, for sure manufacturers would inform consumers not to bring the devices to airplane.

I am not a specialist, but I think that advice has to do with the frequency the device emit. It does interference with the plane system for take off and landing. and could cause miss leading leading to accident.

Hmm yeah, point taken. But if the issue are the xrays damaging the device (like what the OP asked about), I think it's an important detail that manufacturers should inform their customers. (So far, none of that yet, so I'm assuming it's 100% safe, I mean no damage at all to the device).

I don't think so, no. Otherwise we would have already been cautioned about bringing tablet PCs on a plane.

They do put on the X-ray machine that it could damage hardware. and let you put it in a bin that goes trough the agent eyes in the back. last time I took the plane any way, that was 10 year ago.
