I installed win2000 yesterday - it went fine, and when I started installing programs - Photoshop, zonealarm and the likes, I get a pop up message box which says:
(FileName varies)
------------------------------
FileName.exe - No Disk
X There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive A:
Cancel Try Again Continue
------------------------------
But I'm not intsallin gfrom the A drive at all. Then if I hit Cancel or Continue, it skips the file and continues to install.
Once done installing, when I open (some of) the programs, this same message pops up and I have to Cancel through it and the programs open.

What's going on - and what's the fix??

Thanks,
Matz

No I didn't - cuz I had so many problems recognizing the CDROM drive, so I installed ME, then upgraded to win 2000 with conversion of the C drive from FAT32 NTFS.

Is this the problem - that it wasn't a true clean install?

Thanks,

Yes, I checked th elink out. It was a great resource, and even though I couldn't find anything referring to my floppy problem, there seem to be a million weird issues along similar lines.

Thanks,
