Hi.
I've got two identical USB external HDD's, but cannot use them both together on my laptop: only one is recognised and usable.
Please advise me what the problem is and how I can overcome it so I can use both together.
Many thanks for your advice,
CrVMo

Can you use each one separately, just not both together? Does it matter which usb slot you use?

Thanks for your replies.
I've managed to solve the problem!
I opened-up Macrorit® Disk Partition Expert and found that the drive not being recognised in Explorer showed-up, but was "off-line".
Changing the setting to "on-line" made the disk visible to Explorer and it then worked fine in my system.
I didn't realise that when plugging a USB device in, it could be "off-line" and not function as expected.
Anyway, I've learnt how to resolve the problem so am now happy! :)
Thanks again for your replies,
CrVMo
