OK - I've got:
P3550
Abit BE6
unbuffered PC100 - Siemens at 6ns
Several different HD - some ata33 and a scsi
V3-2k
SBLive Value

Now I'm just fine at fsb 110, 112, 115. Only problem is I have to clock back the video card the faster I get. At 100fsb it can reach 185, then proportionally back the faster I clock. Not a problem though. Now when I boot to 120fsb (660) it will trash drivers, vshinit.vxd will be corrupted or it will think the registry is bad and keep restoring an old copy. At 124 (either 1/3 or 1/4) it will usually just hang. Now I don't think it's the video causing problems. I've clocked it back to 120 just to boot.

Anyone have any thoughts? I've upped the volts to 2.2, turned off l2 cache set the drives to pio3...

TIA

Try ¼ PCI at 120...

1/3 at 120 = 40 and this might be causing your HD’s to trash...

That's what I was thinking. I don't have 120 w/1/4, only 1/3. I tried 124 at 1/4, but it will not fully load Windows. It will think the registry needs restoring and then ask to reboot. After that it it does the same thing

Oh well... 616 with the V3-2k at 164 is pretty nice

Yeah' Splatt, relax with 616..

My 400 would seem to be fine at 500 (FSB 83, PCI = ~41)for a couple of days, then whammo, corrupt hard disk..

Oh, I'm plenty happy where it isl I usually just keep it at 110/605 because all the settings are normal, no extra fan needed, and I can boost the video to 166. Just want to be able to do it is all
