Fn keys

the Fn keys don't seem to be working, but i haven't tried to install any toshiba software on this thing.

to be honest, Fn key shortcuts are something that i'm willing to live without considering the risk that i may be taking by installing them.

The Dl Link Does Not Work

datars said:
The link still works, and it has been downloaded 2,007 times

I am a repair shop with two different ISPs and the link does not work with either. I have even downloaded the download manager.

I have read numerous times that the link does not work and people have requested that the drivers be available somewhere else.

Can someone be so kind as to link the file to a mirror download site. I woould do it if I had the file. Please pass the kindness of datars on. That site is broken and alot of people really need these drivers.

where to post

does anyone have any suggestions as to where to post these drivers for free?
if it's alright with datars i'll put them up somewhere.
somewhere like http://www.snapdrive.net/
or i could email it to one of you to post somewhere reliable.

btw

with my current setup, the buttons on the left (launch explorer, play, stop, next, etc.) seem to be working.

re: place to post drivers

VampireHunterG if you can email them to me I have a couple places i can post them. (Ftp and web space)

I can only get attachments under 10 MB though so I guess u would have to split them.

If you would be so kind email them to me:

I am in dire need of those drivers, and will pay it forward linking a mirror on this forum

edit by admin: please don't post any contact info on the forum. Thank you

since no one seems to be able to repost the driver package...

So I Got everything working except the 2 unknown devices which people say are from the Direct Application Launch feature in Vista. (Can anyone confirm this?)

Got the Atheros Wifi driver from US Toshiba Website - Vista version worked in XP

Same as above with sound Driver

Software Modem Driver is here: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe....ode=allMachines&action=search&teddProduct=691

Hotkey utility is also on the UK site.

*use the UK XP driver for both

SM Bus is here http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/si...IGR-61453.html

Touchpad EDIT - Do not install the touchpad drivers from any tosh website, they lag out your mouse...stall.stop ect

Video is from http://www.3dacc.net/page.php?id=3474

Hope this helps..wish i could do something about the Direct access.

Thanks Revolv3r. I had found that site before, but was afraid to try. The computer is away for a few days, so will try it when it gets back.So the only thing left is the two unknown functions. But it is working so well, maybe I really don't need to fix.
I have noticed that everyone is looking for a driver site. Yesterday I posted a site that I had used that worked. It was the one Bubmara had posted on 3/28. Again here it is:

Hope this helps

Hi i just installed Xp on my Toshiba a135 s2276 this week. This is what i found that worked fine. What brought me to this site was the search for the direct application launch buttons which I still have not found but i'm working on it. I have seen a previous post with drivers that have a dead link and everyone was asking for a repost. I have uploaded my drivers to sendspace and have include a link. These are not a repost of his drivers. This is what i put together. I hope this helps someone. Include are
1 Ati southbridge driver
2 realtek audio
3 realtex modem
4 atheros wifi
5 synaptic touchpad driver
6 DVD ram Drive driver
7 Omega Radeon driver
8 Toshiba diagnostic tool(not necessary)

That link has never been dead, it must be your ISP, or some Crap loaded in your browser that is stopping it. Keep tool bars out of your Browers, and all download sites will work!

:) Hello everbody

Been messing with one of these a135-s2276 and WINXP, device manager looks fine now, no marks.

The front right, 2 USB ports, do not work, it is like they have no power. The left and rear USB ports work correctly. Anyone else run into this, or have any ideas?

To Butzilla and Vampire Hunter G- I thought the Direct Application Launch Button only worked in VISTA not XP. So maybe when you downgrade to XP, you might just have two yellow marks. Any ideas?
