the best way to test a 30 pin memory size is to dig up a 386SX motherboard and test them on it.
Since the 386SX only needs 2 chips to make it run , you can easily determine the memory chips size.
The 386DX and 486 boards require a minimum of 4 memory modules to run.
Takes a little time to set the testbed up but it is well worth the effort.
