Alright guys,
Currently my FSB is 100 and my multi 8.5. Ive moved the fsb up enough to hit 892 (I think) but my computer crashed right away. My temps are 40-44 Celcuis idle! My CPU fan's RPm is only a little over 4000, but thats the way the stock HSF was when I bought it. My question is how far have you went? And if should I get a new HSF and heatsink like the Valcano II or the FOP-38, before I even start? My suggested overheat temp. form my CPU is 50 Celcius, So im close even idle. But after a CPU stree test it never really goes past 44. Any suggestions would help. Thanx
Jay

My sig show's my current CPU speed. If your going to O/C I'd recommend the FOP-32. Your idle temps seem pretty high, are you running any case fans on your system?

My fan RPM is generally about 5200...ur RPM and temperature sounds high. My idle temp is about 34-36 degrees. when ive used it for a while it generally gets up to about 45. so get a new fan!

Alright guys,
Ive got two intake fans (80mm) one on the side of my case, and one at the front (fully cut wholes with grills.) I have one 80mm exhaust fan and one exhust blower in an extra card slot. My system temps are like 22, which are decent. I dont know which cooler to get....The valcano II, fop-32 (will that fit s370 ANd s462'?) or the Fop-38??? Now, my board doesnt have multiplyer setttings....So there is no way i can pencil it, cause I still would have no wayt of adjusting the multi. So I guess Im gonna have to overclock with fsb (if i keep this mobo). How far can the FSB go without screwingup memory, etc?? I had my old
Cumine at 150 without porblmes. Thanx

Your motherboard will max out at about 110-115mhz FSB speed. The KT133 chipset won't do much more stable.
If you had the new KT133A chipset, you would probably be able to hit 150-160mhz FSB, but I'm not sure the DFI comes in a KT133A version. You can still adjust your multiplier by penciling your bridges.

Since dickhead Tom won't let images be linked, the article is below....

You can read the whole article here: http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/00q3/000711/

As you can see from this article and pics, you can still adjust your multiplier even if your board doesn't have the settings. It's just harder and more of a pain.
Hope this helps a little.........
