Hi,

I have a laptop that uses Synaptic Pointing Device drivers for the touchpad. Recently I bought Logitech USB mouse and keyboard. The mouse and keyboard work flawlessly but now the Synaptic Touchpad does not work, with or without the wireless mouse.

This is very annoying.

Can you advise me how to set this so they both work?

Thanks in advance.

touchpad dissabled

Wow, I can't believe this; however, I figured it out myself. There is a function key that dissables the touchpad on an Acer laptop. If anyone else has this problem try Fn and one of the funtion keys. I'm not on my laptop so I don't know the exact funtion key; however, there is a picture of the touchpad.

Hahaha, Thank You!!

THANKS YOU, lol. I spent over an hour updating and reinstalling drivers until I found your post. Five seconds later it's fixed. It's (fn + F7) on my netbook btw.

I have a TravelMate 6592 with both the IBM-style pointing device and the touchpad. Fn/F7 disables both. If only it would disable the touchpad and leave the trackpoint active. I like to kill the touchpad while typing.
