I have a power unit I want to see if it powers on. Can I do this outside the PC.
I pluged in the power cord, turn the on button on, nothing happened. When I do this, the nothing is connected to the computer. Does it need to be grounded? I just want to see if the fan comes on.

TIA

the rocker switch in the back doesn't turn on the PSU perse. It basically allows the power into the PSU.

you would need to short the pins to power it on. Preferably, that can either be done with a PSU tester or motherboard. Otherwise, you can short the pins with a piece of wire.
