Overclocking a Dell 7000 laptop--PII 400 with ATI LT RAGEPRO video

Does anyone have experience with overclocking cpu and video in laptops...and more specifically the Dell Inspiron 7000?

Even if you could overclock your laptop, it probably wouldn't be a good idea.

Besides, you wouldnt get any higher gaming performance. Your Rage Pro LT is the limiting factor. Try overclocking that (assuming its possible).

I agree with the 2 posts above. That Rage is limiting you. Also being a laptop you really do not want to overclock at all, they have very little room for ventilation or heat disipation, you would overheat that laptop way to easy.

Thanks for everyone's input. I figured that overclocking would not be such a great idea. Thought that if someone had used some cpu cooling software and overclocked mildly, I could gain a little performance. If anyone knows of a program that will overclock the LT Rage Pro, please reply.
