Need help on voltages.

New Member
Hey, does anyone know of a good voltage setup to reach 4ghz (or something close to it) on this setup?

Intel Core? i7 Quad Processor i7-920

Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333MHz 6GB CL9
Kit w/3x 2GB XMS3 modules, CL9-9-9-24, for Core i7

Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R

It would be great if someone who has exactly this setup could post his/her's setup for voltages and alike. I've been trying a lot of different voltage settings in BIOS, but I've stopped now after understanding that I'm just fumbling in the dark.

All help is extremely appriciated!

In advance, thank you.

The one-size-fits-all voltage and clock frequency settings that will always work are the ones it came with. Cpus coming out of the foundary are all a little different. Exploiting those differences and finding the optimium is what overclocking is all about, hence testing. If you do get suggestions, consider them a starting point. You might get better, or you might get less.
Also, remember that voltage is what wears out electronics. You will reach a point at which it will take a lot more voltage to get just a little more speed. Try and stay just under that point, even if you haven't quite hit a big number, like 4GHz.
