I just recently moved this past weekend and ever since I set my computer back up, my monitor does not wake from sleep mode until Windows is booted to the desktop.

What could cause this to happen and how do I fix it??

I assume you use DVI ? If so, try using the other DVI port (if you have more than one) on your main video card. It's likely the "secondary" one only initializes once in Windows.

I believe i just compounded the situation. I decoded to update the drivers so I went to nvidia website and downloaded the latest driver. it kept failing to install. so I went to device manager with intentions of uninstalling the existing driver and installing a new one fresh. as soon as I clicked uninstall, the monitor went black. noe it doesn't ever turn on. and this is regardless of what card I plug it into.

You were right, by the way. I wasn't paying attention and had the monitor plugged into the 2nd card.

I don't know why things went haywire when I unistalled the driver...I figured I would just end up with a low resolution and Aero turned off until I installed new drivers.

Nonetheless, I took both cards out and sure enough...the onboard video began working. Then I put one card back in and it worked fine...then the second card and SLi bridge and everything seems to be normal.

I still cannot upgrade the driver to the latest beta though...I wonder what gives?

That's probably because the secondary DVI port is only active when the driver is installed, the same reason why you would not see anything before Windows (because the driver finishes initializing there)

Sorry, can't help you much there, but I guess 326.xx will go official sooner than later, given all the 4K displays and Shield stuff in it.
