I have a MXPR166, with 32mg of NVRAM...
could someone please tell me what type of
Ram this is and what is the difference between mine and/or SDRAM and EDO etc.
If I changed the type of Ram would this make a difference to the speed of my CPU as it seems to be clocking a little bit slowly.
Would appreciate an answer.
Thanks,

NVRAM keeps its content when power is turned off, normal RAM doesn't.
Normally you won't notice any (major) difference with a faster type of RAM, but I don't know how fast NVRAM is to begin with...
However, expanding the RAM to 64MB will probably make a noticable difference. You will have to check the mainboard's manual for supported RAM-types.
