I have a network neighborhood setup between a couple of PC's using D-Link PCI cards.
One in connected to the net and I want the other one to be able to use it. What is the easy way to do this? Without using any program like Winproxy.
Also, how can I boot over my network? Where can I get the s/w?
Thanks

I believe the only way you can do this is with a product called "wingate". I havent tried this so im just relaying information I read.

You can't do it without using software unless you have another OS on one of the machines. 98 can't be set up to use IP fowarding. So you either have to use WinProxy/Wingate, etc. or consider installing NT or Linux on the machine with direct internet access, and configuring IP fowarding.

Is there any specific reason not to use software? I have tried winproxy and wingate, and also one smaller one called SYGATE. By far the easest one is SYGATE. As far as the network goes are you using Windows on both machines?

P.S. keygenerator for SYGATE is easy to get. If your into that kind of thing

I found a program that allows multiple computers to surf the net using one internet connection. I am using it now with a Compaq notebook, an iMac and a P400 all accross the same phone line. It works awesome! Here's the link:

Another excellent software is Rideway. You can get the shareware version at www.fttc.com/rideway/index.html which allows you to connect up to 3 users. The registered version only cost $30 US. I'm using it with my client pc's and it works great. Installation and instructions a breeze.
