hey i currently have an hp pavilion w5130in desktop pc.

The link is here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...5266&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN

I wanted to know if my pc case is a standard atx case that can fit a standard atx power supply such as corsair vx450w. I think I currently have a micro atx power supply but im not sure since my desktop is not with me. help on this matter greatly appreciated!!

I think that case uses a standard ATX PSU, but some are longer than others. You might end up hitting the backs of the DVD drives.

Can't tell from those limited specs. Rough rule of thumb: if the case is 17" tall it's ATX; 15" tall is mATX.

I'd just take the published measurements for the Corsair and open the HP case, compare and see if the measurements would clear.
