I have a HD that is partitioned and I want to reformat it and get rid of the partition. When I run FDISK isn't there an option to remove existing partition or do I do something else to it? Thanks.

You can use the HDD manufacturer's utility to erase the entire disk.

Once you identify the HDD in the system,
You can download if from the manufacturer's website.
If you feel uncomfortable about opening up the computer case, you can try the following LINK.

Sure, Kevin. Remove your logical drives first, then your secondary partitions, and then your primary partition. Then you can partition the disk however you please. Don't bother with third-party software, FDISK is cake.
