i have installed a 4th hard drive
and it has inconviently set itself up
as drive E
i want it to install as drive L
what can be done????
all of my installed programs on drives
E to K are now on F to L and reloading them
is a bloody great pain
if i could force the new drive to set as
L it would save me a LOT of time.
thanks

Make sure this drive (#4) is just that. The forth and last drive. It will be a slave on the Secondary IDE port. Restart in DOS mode(I prefer this rather than a DOS box)and repartition the forth hard drive. Choose (1) Create a partition and then (2) Create an Extended partition. After this is done make sure to reboot and then format it: FORMAT L:/U. Thats it.
