Hi guys,

I previously tried to reboot my laptop and got this error "No Operating System Found". I knew I have to reformat my harddisk.

However, I boot into DOS with my Win98 Boot disk, i fdisk my HD to partition, but i got this error "Error reading fixed disk". NOt sure if its my laptop HD problem.

Below is my laptop configuration:

PII366MHZ
64MB RAM
Hitachi 6GB HD
OS: Win98SE

Pls advice.

Make sure its plugged in rite could have worked itself out also if hitachi still makes hard drives you might want to get one of there diagnostic utilities and see if it can fix it from their site.

You could try another boot disk in case the one you are using is defective,
Boot disks available at the following link,
Hitachi support page at the following link,
Click HERE, just in case they have any HDD utilities and/or BIOS updates.
