Here's my system:

AMD Phenom II X3 65 watts
Gigabyte MA-770T motherboard
Artic silver 5
Nvidia 7600GT video card
2 hard drives
Scyth Katana CPU cooler with 120mm fan

My idle temps for cpu is 42 celcius. That seems rather high for a idle cpu that is only 65 watts. This is in my living room with the ac on, and a well ventralleted case(one side fan go blowing airwars also).

I have 2 gigs ram in which I had to selt the voltage to 1.95 volts for the ram to run correctly(non overclock).

Does my CPU temp seem high for being idle and only 65 watts?

it shows as 25c idle for the 65watt cpu. mine is around 40 idle. should i be worried? also, i tried speedfan and it showed the third core as 80c. was that correct or was the app wrong?

well, i have a side fan that blew air inwards. i made the side fan blow outwards and it dropped the cpu by about 5 degrees and my mb about 7 degrees.

i installed the ati overdrive utlility and it is showing 31c per core. the other utility was the one that came with my mb(easy tune)...so i don't know which one to believe.
