Is the AM3 socket the same as the FM2+ socket
The post below on Toms Hardware says he used an "AMD Athlon 860K Quad Core 3.7GHz FM2+ Processor" on a 3047h MOBO (hp MOBO 531966-001)
and if so
would this MOBO support the "AMD FX-4300 Vishera Quad-Core 3.8GHz (4.0GHz) Socket AM3+ 95W socket: AM3 ??
Not an easy question as information on hp 3047h MOBO is hard to find.
Thank You

No, it would not. You need and am3+ Socket mobo for the AMD FX-4300.
I read the post from Tom's Hardware and I thought something was wrong. The poster probably posted the wrong CPU
