I don't know anything about Sprint's fast Internet access. I switched internet provider last summer because they did not have fast internet access. What I can say is their tech support is top notch.

I was just doing some budgeting.

If I have two phone lines at home with moderate use and some long distance calls plus a 1.5 mbps DLS, that's about $80 (phone) plus $129 (DSL). Total about $210.

With Sprint, you'll also get 750 minute long dist. and 4 phone lines. Not to mention 8Mbps down and 1 Mpbs upstream is overwhelming.

You are right. I will check if they have a similar deal up here, and if they really have a 1mbps upload speed I will get rid of cable. Cable here is limited to 3.5mbps download and 135mbps upload (not good for ftp). Cable here is $29/month if you are a cable tv customer.

My Sprint right now is only for long distance, and is $20,00 for 400minutes/month anywhere in North America and 15/min for anything above the limit. Sprint basic phone is not available in Quebec for now but we are told that it will be available later this year.

With Sprint, are you allowed to have your own modem, or do you need to get a rental, like Sympatico overhere?

    My cost right now are:

    2 phone lines: $70.
    long distance: $20.
    Cable internet: $29.

    Total: $119 + 15%gst&pst
