    installing a cd-rewritable

Which brand of rewritable is best? Which type?--internal or external. How do you install an internal drive? Is it more than a novice should attempt. The computer is a gateway 300pII, 64ram, cdrom and 1 floppy.

It's a snap...I've got a Hewlett Packard 7200i...make sure your original CD is jumpered as MASTER and the burner as SLAVE...try to put them on the same IDE cable...I've heard the SONY unit is good too.

Anyone who's got a cd-burner (or considering getting one) should pay a visit to:

    I have heard Plextor is the best, I haven't ever tried them though. I have a Mitsumi 2 x 8, Yamaha 4 x 6, and a Ricoh 4 x 2 x 8. My Ricoh is great
