Mouse

I know someone who has a IBM computer the mouse has stopped working (the kids installed a game). The mouse will not show up. It is on a win98 sys. Should I just reinstall win98?

can you get into the control panel and try to redetect it? what format is the mouse [ps2, serial, usb?] and you could try d/l or installing specific drivers for it if necessary.
