Huge hard drive ?'s
I am going to buy an 80+ GB hard, and have a few questions. I am still pretty new at this stuff.
Is there an easy way to move applications to the new drive from my existing drive? Is it best to totally reinstall a program, or could I move it to the new drive, and have it show up in the Start menu? I have some games that I would rather move than reinstall and re-patch, etc.
I am using Windows 98se. I have Partitionmagic 4.0, and it has a program called MagicMover, but it only seems to move a program already installed to a new folder.
Also, any recommendations for partition size and number? I currently have 3 partitions. I will be upgrading to XP, and will want to have a dual boot option to Win 98.

If you use Ghost or DriveImage, you can copy the partition(s) over to the new drive, and everything will work as before.
As far as partitioning the drive, that's more of a personal preference - I usually like one partition for the OS/programs, and a larger partition (~75% of the drive) for my data.

Thanks for the info. I would like to just move a bunch of games without reinstalling them all. It wouldn't be the entire partition. Would Ghost still work for that?

Ghost will copy an entire drive or partition, but not individual files or folders...

According to this month's edition of MaximumPC, WinXP performs best with one partition.
