LG CDdrive giving me headaches

My CD drive will recognize a CD when it's in the drive, but won't run it. It can pull enough information to distinguish between audio disks and CDROMs, will give me software titles, and will even let WinAmp pull up the album name and song titles off the internet. But it doesn't seem to matter what player I use, or where I try to run it from - it just freezes whatever I'm using, and sometimes the whole system crashes. Any advice?

Sounds like a bad drive to me or a driver issue. Make sure all the drivers are updated for the motherboard.

If it still doesn't work then make sure you have DMA enabled for the drive.

If that doesn't do it you have a bad drive, RMA it.
