    i can get them for:
    Liteon 12x dvd $60.10
    Pioneer 16x dvd $84.10

i know pioneer have good reputation but this new liteon dvd drive seems to be good also.

I was thinking about getting Lite-On peripherals too but was advised against it by former users on the forum.

And I'll take the people's advice here over any review any day. I've been too badly burned in the past.

If I had a choice I'd take Pioneer.

The Pioneer WILL NOT fail you... invest the $20 extra and think of the long run.

Pioneer is the way to go. It makes products which have gained world wide reputation as being one of high quality.

I've been using a Pioneer for the past several months so far I love it. Get a slot load one. At first I though I wouldn't like it but, I got it anyhow just to make my computer look a bit different than everyone elses. Well after having the slot load I love it much more than the tray load style!
