    Printer Probs, Please help.

Help! My printer, a Xerox Docuprint M750 (parallel port), has begun spewing out different primary-colored meaningless characters while printing documents. I build systems regularly, but I'm a complete novice when it comes to printers. I haven't done a lot of maintenence with it, yet it gets fairly rare use. I've checked all the levels of the different cartriges as well as ensured that it has a good clean connection to the back of my case. Any help would be great. Thanks!

I donít have a Xerox but just uninstalling and reinstalling the software usually clears things up on mine. If youíve made any changes to the computer recently you might look for an updated driver from Xerox.
If you can keep your head while others around you are losing theirs, then there is something you don't know

Already tried uninstall-reinstall. I've also tried the actual included drivers as well as the updated drivers. Any other ideas anyone? I suppose I'm looking for a more technical answer, one I could take to Xerox and perhaps it would still be covered by warranty...

What was the last thing you've done to your PC before the printer problem occur? Do you have a scanner "piggy-back" with the printer?

The last thing I did to the PC was switch out a GeForce for a GeForce2 MX. That certainly has nothing to do with anything. Plus, after that, I did a full format/re-install just for kicks. There is no IRQ problem and the ECP port is not sharing any resources with any other device. Hmmm...

Is the printer driver for WindowsME?
DO you have any other non-WinME PC to isolate the problem?

Yeah, they're ME drivers. I tried it on my roomate's Win98SE machine and it did the same thing. The troubleshooting thing (totally worthless, of course) said it could be a faulty connection. But I have a 40$ printer cable that's screwed in nice and tight on both ends. Go figure....
