Which CDRW brand out of these?

Ok i'm thinking of getting a CDRW drive out of these choices only, as they are within my price range...considering brand, speeds, and any other features..which one?

    Sony 32x8x4
    LG 32x8x4
    Mitsubishi Diamond 32x10x4
    Acer 32x10x8
    Ricoh 32x8x8

Personally i'm kinda leaning towards Ricoh as i hear they are good, ir not maybe just Sony...

I can only speak for the LG and Mit diamond. My work unit is LG and has worked well but hasn't done a heap of work yet. My home writer is the Mit Diamond but 30x8x4. I had a couple of dramas setting it up but it's done a lot of work since and hasn't missed a beat. Both are very quiet in loading and spinning but the Mit makes a head movement noise when accessed.

    Cheers...
    I'd rather be GLIDING

With the choices you have I would get the Ricoh as well.

If you want to spend a little more money then a Plextor PlexWriter 16/10/40A would be the best choice.

k, what about this... Dual 8x or 10x CD-Rs in a Duron 900Mhz and burn at the same time ?

It must be better than a single 16x !?!?!
