Ricoh 7863 CD-R With WinME Dosen't Work!

I have a Ricoh 7863 (8x8x32) CD-Writer with Windows Me. It's all hooked up to a Microstar BX Master motherboard with on-board Ultra66 controller. The CD-ROM is hooked up on Primary IDE, the CD-R is hooked up on Secondary IDE and the harddisk is hooked up on Ultra66 primary IDE. Adaptec ASPI 4.60 drivers are installed successfully but I can't get the CD-R working with any CD-R software.

Any ideas? Thanks!

I was able to make it work with Windows 2000.

I think you need to patch EZ-CD Creator to version 4.03.

COZITSTHERE is right.
If you use Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4.0, you'll have to download an update for it.
At least the ver. 4.02 that has WinME support.

In case you were not aware, adaptec CD-Creator is not the ONLY CD-R software out there. I appreciate your help, but I often use other CD-R software such as CDRWIN and NERO.

Windows 2000 kicks ***.
