how do i know if my hard drive (or any drive) is runing in udma mode in windows? If you enable DMA in the properties, what wil it run at ??!?!?! how do i know if my hardrive is runing at udma 33 or 66,. can you only enable that through your ide busmaster motherboard drivers? people help me this is confusing to me, i dont understand it!!!!! thanks!!!!! if yuo wanna add anything else to help feel free.

Benchmark your hard drive using Sisoft Sandra. Usually if DMA is not enabled you will get a very low score. http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0...st-7-1.4376184

Start/Settings/Control Panel/System/Device Manager/Disk Drives/Your HDD/Settings/DMA Option

I'd personally stick with the default Windows 9x IDE Busmaster Drivers. Just enable DMA and you'll be all set
