    WHAT ARE THE MAX OF GB'S (FOR HD) SUPPORTED IN WINME AND WIN 2000 PRO

    HI COULD ANYONE TELL ME WHAT THE MAX OF GB'S ARE SUPPORTED FOR HARDDISKS IN WINME AND WIN 2000 PRO.
    BECAUSE I WANT TO TRY A RAID 0 CONFIG AND DON'T WANT TO TROW GB'S AWAY.

    You really don't need to worry too much about that, the limits on a single logical volume for Win2000 are well above what you would probably need in an array size. I want to say its somewhere around 4TB, but I may be thinking of memory. That would be 4 trillion bytes of data.

    Hehe, I am thinking about 64 bit OS other than 32 bit ones now. We don't have to worry about volume size anymore.

    Considering that
    the max chs values ( in lba mode ) are
    65535 255 63 , and 512 bytes per block, that is around 500 GB . That would be what today's bios can handle.

    So that's where the next bottleneck will be? First 512 MB, then 2.1 GB, 8.4 GB, and now up to 500 GB (or maybe 512 GB). I guess we won't have to worry.
