What drivers are you running? My MS optical runs just fine with 3.1.

I have the explorer and have not recently had any problems. i did have it turn off on me (what that was i dont know) but i had the skipping to. It was because i was using it on a semiglossy desk. i bought a hard solid black mouse pad and all is great. i am using 3.2 drivers (same as 3.1 but with 2000 and ME support)
