Just got a hp 8250i 24x4x4 i have only burned on CD-RW yet and have noticed when i run something from the disc or extract something to the harddrive the performance is poor about 700k ps that's on a 48x cdrom,Is this a limitation in CD-RW discs?Will CDR be faster for reading?Or do i have something set wrong.
i have only used one brand of CD-RW Media, cuz i got them really cheap, but they sucked. They too are slow to read. I burned the same exact stuff on a CD-R Media, and it was ALOT faster. I don't know if it is just due to the CD-RW Media brand, or just CD-RW Media all toghether, but i got over 150 blank CD-R media disks, so now i just use those. I just figure they will work better. hope that helps some.
