    Whats with the low transfer rates????

    Hi,
    I was benchmarking my system yesterday when I run Wintune and Threadmark, my transfer rates are around 3.5 to 3.8Mb/sec! I cannot belive that my harddiskdrive sucks that much. It is a Maxtor 6.4gb The dma box is checked and i'm running win98. Anybody know what the problem could be?
