    Turning on Computer with Keyboard on an ABIT BX-6 Motherboard?

    Can someone tell me if there is a way to make the keyboard to power up the computer? I know there are other motherboard that allows you to do that but is there a way to do that with a ABIT BX6 Motherboard?
    Gimme specific Details and instuctions

    There is a setting in the Bios for this. Also check the users manual.

    Well i looked in the whole entire manual and it doesn't have any jumpers or BIOS setting indicating that it can be done with this motherboard. I read it over and over again from time to time but still nothing....

    I don't have ABIT BX6 rev.2 but i have the 1st one though with all the updates it needed so far up to date. Does BX6 Rev.2 have a keyboard boot up setting? But is there a setting on my motherboard to do that though?

    Just do what I did...
    I disabled the left Start Menu key and wired the power button to it instead. Now no one can turn on my computer unless they mash keys or something.
    Also, since my case is on the floor, it is easier to turn it on with the keyboard key, and my MB doesn't have to "support" it.

    Can you give me some details on how to connect the power on wire to the keyboard? But is there another way to do it?

    ok DINK - on my bx6 rev2.0 there is a setting in the bios called 'integrated peripherals' wherein lies the 'Power on function' setting which can be set to 'button only','keyboard 98(for win98 users w/win98 keyboards)','Hot Key(programmable function key like 'f1')','mouse left' or 'mouse right'(double click to power on) i have mine set for the mouse - sit down, double click and presto

    I know the newer ATrend boards support it, but I would rather have the BX6. (I have a BH6 and I love it.)

    Any one know a program that can do the trick maybe? Cause there is no other way unless i do connect the power on pins to my keyboard.
