    Printer, Scanner, LPT 2

I tried to add another printer port to my
computer because I have a HP Printer, Fax, Copier and Scanner; I also have a
flat scanner and a new Epson Stylus 740 printer. I can hook up the Epson
through the flat scanner and they both work fine. But, as you may know, that
HP is really picky and you can't put anything through it. I want to keep them
all available so I was considering an A/B switch but I was told by a local computer store that the HP wouldn't work with the A/B switch. Too picky. So, I bought another
printer port, installed it per the instructions (I think) etc. but it won't
    recognize it. Can you help?

Thanks to everyone who can help.

To all who helped here's a big THANK YOU. Here's what was
resolved, the new LPT card was reconfigued to another IRQ
and the cables switched whereby the Epson in on LPT1,
and the HP and Scanner are on LPT2, all the peripherals
seem to like this arrangement and are working OK. No
    further replies needed.

    Thanks again
