Toshiba PC100 Memory-NO GOOD?
I got a 64MB Toshiba 8ns DIMM today. The problem is that I got a Windows protection error when I booted up my system after installing this memory. I am running 100Mhz FSB and memory. I set all the memory timings in BIOS to their minimum values and disabled just about everything. I even tried reformatting the computer with the new DIMM installed and it kept freezing up while trying to install Windows95. I wonder if this is a bad memory module or if it is not really PC100 compatible. the Toshiba chip numbers are TC59S6408BFT-80. Does anyone know if this is a good quality memory in general? Please advise me on this. Thanks...
