    New CD-R minor problems

I've added a second CD drive, Mitsumi CD-R (IDE), and I have 2 hard drives (Primary Master & Slave) and the CD Roms are Secondary Master(CDR) and Slave (original CD Rom). Here are the problems. This setup functions fine except the audio quality of the original CD Rom is extremely low. When recording audio CD's however, the sound is fine. I also seem to lose my 2 CD drives on occassion only to get them back by rebooting. Any thoughts. Dan

Danjct....Both the harddrives should be on separate IDE cables as "master" with the CD-ROM and CD-R on each as "slaves"...I don't know if that will fix your problem...but everywhere I've read and talking to those who know, always recommended having the set-up this way....
