    Flatbed Scanners

    I'm looking for a scanner for serious home use. I won't be doing a lot of volume but I want 600DPI scans that look GOOD!!!

    I like the HP 6100 I use at work but it's pretty expensive (about $700) and I think discontinued.

    Any suggestions in the $200-$400 price range?

    To be very honest with you UMAX makes a pretty nice scanner there is a 610P (parallel), and there is a 610S (SCSI). These scanners are not that expensive either.
