As far as I can find out according to Microsoft compatibility for Win XP this video card will not work with Win XP. It says it may work with Win 2000. If I have to buy another video card I have heard that the GeForce 4 is really not much an improvement over the GeForce 3. What about the Aopen GeForce3 Ti200 64 MB. Is this a decent video card?

My card has run with Win98fe, Win98se, Win2k Pro, Win2k Server, WinMe, and WinXP Pro. Just use the Detonator drivers from nVidia and you'll be fine! You try overclocking yours at all? Difference from 125/150 to 160/220 gave me like a 60% boosted 3dmark2001 score.

My video card is not a tnt2 just Viper V770. I don't know if that makes a difference. It is about three years old. I have an ECS K7S5A board which is not a very good board to overclock. I also have an AMD T-BIRD 1000 that is not unlocked. Where can I download the detonator drivers you speak of?

onegojoe - The Diamond Viper 770 has a TNT2 graphics chip. The latest Detonators will work with it in XP.

If you do decide to get a new card a Geforce 3TI200 is better than a Geforce 4MX but the Geforce 4Ti's are better than the 3's (The 4MX's are really improved versions of the Geforce 2). Depends on what you use your system for and what the other component are in the machine.
