ATI 8MB AGP vs ATI 16MB PCI - Your opinion??

I have a ATI Rage IIC 8MB AGP which works fine. Today I got a new ATI Xpert 128 16MB PCI card for $23. Do you think the extra 8MB of memory of PCI card will make it superior to AGP? Thanks for any input.

P.S.I'm not a gamer, except for a little golf.

i believe the xpert is a faster chipset. the extra 8mb will help too. i believe there is little difference in the speeds of pci and agp video cards...that is until you start using newer cards then u have.

Thanks for that opinion! That's the way I'm thinking too. At a min, for $23 new, it seems well worth it to keep it on hand as a back-up, especially for testing in a new build.

When I opened the box, I found out it was a prior-sale, and now I know why he returned it. Silly guy never opened/installed drivers! Card is great! Goes up to 1280 X 1024 on my Sony, and now in sweet 32 bit True Color. I'm ready to play golf with Arnold and Tiger. Sure seems to beat the above AGP. Thanks!

Yeah, the RAMDAC of the Xpert should give way better quality than the IIc, I have a 3D Charger 2MB (IIc+) in my old computer and 2D is fuzzy at 800x600 16 bits at 75Hz
