AGP problems...

Alright, first off, I just formatted my computer, and I installed the drivers for my GF3 from the disk that came with it. Everything is smooth, but when I play any game, I experience poor performance (In Q3A I am getting 45 FPS). So in a previous post on this messageboard, many kind replies stated that I needed to install my chipset drivers for my motherboard. So I went to www.viatech.com and download the lastest 4in1, and still the problems exists. But I know this is a AGP issue, because I put in my old Voodoo5 today, and the same problem occured, so it isn't GF3 driver related. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Did you disable VSYNC?

Did you just upgrade you video card when you formatted it or di you upgrade first, it ran fine, then format and it sucks now?

Have you had the same problem in other games (DX games)? Try running 3DMark 2001 and what you get. Also it could be your CPU is holding you back. Up the resolution to the highest your monitor supports and see if the FPS drops.

You could try overclcoking the CPU. My Duron600 did 900Mhz without breaking a sweat (and 950 if I really wanted it to).

Check whether ur mb supports AGP 4x,sideband addressing,fast writes
Enable all this in the bios
