I may be mistaken, but check the link. They are selling it for $129. They do not say its a downpayment, or say its $399. They say they are selling it for $129.
This is terrible. I had it in my shopping cart, and they wont honor the price. I AM SO MAD......!!! I want to spit! I spoke to customer service, and was very polite considering the run around I got. THEY HUNG UP ON ME!!! I then called CORP, they cant do sh!t to make them honor the price. So my question is: How can anyone do business with a company that cannot keep its word?
Over at the Madonion boards a few people said they got in on the deal and got a GF4 for $137 shipped. Of course they could be full of sh!t too. Many sites have disclaimers about typo's, so fighting it may be useless.

More to come.
Shame, man. One of the few cases where living in the UK would have worked to your advantage. Current legislation over here (there is none!) means that they would have had to honour that price. I still haven't seen a case over here where that hasn't been the case. It sucks for consumers... if you saw that price in a shop window you'd never even consider the fact that they might not honour it!
Prices and availability are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected where discovered, and Best Buy reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions (including after an order has been submitted). Best Buy may, at its own discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. These restrictions may include orders placed by the same BestBuy.com account, credit card, and also orders which use the same billing and/or shipping address. Notification will be sent to the e-mail and/or billing address provided should such change occur.
This is such a BS lawyer's statement. It's wrong to even be able to make statements like this. Anyhow, they have more money than me, and more lawyers. Gonna have to give this one up. Chalk one up to the CORP giant. I urge you to second guess yourselves too, when considering dealing with them.
BUYER BE AWARE!!!!
edited to keep foot from mouth.

You know, I've seen some damn long descriptions of where people live, and I was just wondering how freakin' long of a location they actually allow you to write in here. Looks like it's quite a bit. Oh well, if the space is here I'll use it!!! :)

Those on MO claiming to have gotten the board at that price will not. They will be offered to retain the order at $399 or cancel it. There is a disclaimer saying that price errors can be corrected at any time.
In other words, there's nothing binding when you order a product at a given price. If they actually charge you more than you agreed to, they have to notify you and give you the option to cancel, but there's nothing stopping them from doing so.

IMO, Mr. Derek Smart is a hypocrite: Only someone who is either (a) lying (b) ashamed of their products (c) just plain ashamed, would hestitate to give out some simple and straight forward information. - Derek Smart, Ph.D.
