    Noisy Gainward Fan

Love my new Gainward GF3 Ti200, but damn if it doesn't have the noisiest fan in the box (out of six!) Any mods to shut this thing up?

Don't think it's rubbing noise, just high RPMs. Lowering the RPMs by changing V to the fan might work, but it will also lower cfm output and could affect heat dissapation. How about a larger fan that would run slower/quieter???

If you are not overclocking I doubt the fan is even needed on the card as the core and memory are clocked VERY consevatively. You could try cleaning and oiling it. Posibly some small rubber washers under the fan would help to reduce turbulance (by adding a small space between the fan and heatsink) and vibrations. Otherwise you could just replave the fan.
