If you intend to use Windows2000 or any other NT kernel based operating system anytime soon,
Suggest bringing up the maximum memory amount totalling about 256MB or the maximum mobo can handle.
If staying with Windows98SE for a while,
Suggest the purchase of 128MB memory module.

Upgrade the RAM
128 MB should be enough for Win98 SE.
PLEASE upgrade the video card.
Here are 3 choices
1)GF2-MX[budget]
2)GF2 Ti[moderate]or Radeon 7500
3)ATi Radeon 8500 or GF3[hell,yeah!]

hi all, i followed ur advice (god help u if u made a mistake ) and ive upgraded my RAM to 128mb and got myself a Geforce2 MX.
now i just need to start saving again
