Voodoo 3 2000 vs Ge Force 2mx 200

I notice from other posts that most people don't rate either of these cards very highly but would a ge force 2 mx200 64meg be a worthwhile upgrade for my V3 2000? I have seen them on sale for under 50 gbp.

I have a voodoo3 3000 in one computer and a geforce2 mx 200 32 meg in another one. The voodoo gets a higher 3dmark 2000 score. I think that the geforce is getting a few frames more than the voodoo, but not much.

Cheers Pelvis, I probably won't bother to change it then. I might try tweaking it a bit to see what I can squeeze out of it for free. I have always run it at stock speed and it has been ok so if I can get anymore performance out of it, it will be a bonus.

I don't think that it's worth upgrading to a GF2 MX200. It's really sucky. True, the GF2 MX core is a lot more advance as compared to the V3 2000. Thing is that the 64-bit memory is too much of a bottleneck and this limits the core so much. It's not worth the money for a fact. Go get a MX instead. It'd be way better. Actually I think that the MX200 would even be slower. I tried testing how many fps in Q3 and the result was only a little bit higher than my TNT2 M64. The MX does around thrice that of the MX200. Don't buy it!!!!!!
