Do what smurq said to do, you might be suprised at the scores.

I like 3DMARK because it is real word benches, not test systems only tweaked out to the max. Most are systems that people use every day.

Yeah you are right jankerson except for the top few people. DigitalJesus and Macci are far ahead of everyone else with their P4/GF3 combos. To realize just how tweaked out and overclocked their systems are, I score 6568 with my TBird 1.33@1.46 (11x133) and GF3@230/560 while DigitalJesus is at about 9600. That is insane. I think BladeRunner should get an Athlon up to about 1.6-1.7 and his GF3 up around 270/615 and see how he compares in the top Athlon/GF3 rankings. You would be suprised at the amount of money that people put into their systems for the sole purpose of getting a higher 3DMark.

    My score is:

    3DMark 2000: 7409
    3DMark 2001: 2689

The scores seem low for my system, any ideas what I could do? My Sandra 2001 scores are OK.

My Quake III Arena benchmarks seems to be OK too!

    So why the low 3Dmarks?

Well my Geforce3 system gives me just under 5000 on 3dmark2001. I haven't tried it under 3dmark2000 but I believe the intensity of the graphics has something to do with your lower score. My flatmates tnt2 gave him a score of 500

Your score seems about right really.

    Not something to worry about.

If you want higher scores get a Gforce 3.

    My 3Dmark 2001 score is: 2336 Default 1024x768 32bit

    Not bad with a Gforce2mx 400/64mb

    ccryder,

I believe there are some tweaks that you can do, but I don't tweak mine.

Also, try and install the lastest 4 in 1 drivers and there is an AGP patch.

Make sure you are running DX8 also.

I think you have to go to VIA's website and download the new one for W2k.
